What's for Dinner, Wed., Sept. 5, 2016

Posting early due to computer malfunctions (Windows 10 updates continue to torment me).

If things go a little better, I’ll be back with what I’m having tonight. If I have time, I intend to make a soup using kabocha squash, ginger, pear, and parsnip. But since Windows has taken all my time for the last week, who knows if I’ll make it to the kitchen.

Never been happy with oven BBQ chicken (as opposed to grilling it), but I'll give it a go again. I'll use the broiler at the end to thicken up the applied sauce.

I've got leftover broccoli alfredo, as well as a leftover sweet potato.

ps: Good luck on Win10! I'm still running XP Pro...

Sweet potato fries with wasabi/mayo sauce.

OMD! So good.

Your meal from last night with the applesauce and pork is one of my top 3 fave meals.

So my favorite computer is finally stable, but then, I haven't put any of my apps or programs back on it, either. Have yet another appointment with Microsoft tomorrow. It's been a hellish week.

I have some advice for everyone running the Windows OS: always have one back up computer with the last operating system on it. For example, I have Win 10 on this one, but on my notebook, Win 8.1. If I didn't have that, I'd be dead in the water.

I have four computers: two with Win 10 and two with Win 8.1. Only half of them are working, due to this latest automatic update stuff.

Dinner was two glasses of cab, followed by decaf green tea.
