It got cold here! I had to shut all the windows and find some warmer clothes. Therefore, I want to heat up the oven to warm the house, so I'm making stuffed peppers.
As long as the oven's heated up, I have some beef bones to roast for soup, so I'll do that, too.
And maybe just make a simple cole slaw to go with the stuffed peppers.

I was inspired by the folks making their own tomato soup, so I made a spicy tomato soup from some of my frozen mixed-bag frozen tomatoes from last year. This particular mixed tomato bag contained; Cherokee Purples, pear, cherry and beefsteak. I had a stray 2/3 cup of frozen shredded zuke from last year, so I threw that in; green chilies, red pepper flakes, plenty of onion, garlic and jalapeno along with other spices. It turned out pretty darn good.
I have a little pastrami that needs used up, so I'll do a pastrami/grilled cheese combo on rye. Watermelon if later I get a sweet tooth.
