1. That was funny.

One thing I know is that he did the meanness thing to give American audience what they want...blood, and he made lots of money...lots more than he could have made when he started his show in England, by being polite and helpful. I like those type shows better than our American shows where there is a need to break people down first.

I think the first reality show here may have been, "This Old House."

In 2000, I fed the neighbors pets, while they vacationed. They said watch all the cable you want. That's when I discovered these new type of reality shows. I didn't like them then, and I still hate them.

It makes the whole idea of "cooking shows" seem pointless. Which is why I loath "Food" Network. (Because it ain't about "food", it's about human beings being assh*les to each other.)

Gimme PBS on Saturday mornings... at least they teach cooking!
