with broccoli - and something else. Not sure what yet.

I did make the mango-avo-black bean salsa this morning. Had it with tortiila chips for lunch. Yum!

We went to visit our friend who lives in a retirement home. She and her daughter had invited us have Mother's Day lunch in their dining room. The food was not very good, for the most part--chicken breasts that were cooked using (too much) liquid smoke, mushy steamed carrots, instant mashed potatoes. They did, however, have whole green beans that had been battered and fried and they were delicious. I don't know how the breading, which was made with cornmeal, stayed on the beans. Will have to see if I can find a recipe.
