Anyone here like cactus water?

I mainly drink coconut water because it keeps me hydrated, has lots of potassium, and I just like the taste (if you get the right brand).

In the store the other day, I saw Cactus Water, which is uncommon up here in the Northeast (not too many cacti, though if you think about it, not too many coconuts either).

So, I bought it to try it, but I really don't like it - it has a drying flavor, and - to me - a little weird one. I think I'll stick to the coconut water, but I was curious if other people have tried the cactus water and what they think about it.

The paddles are for sale in most supermarkets, ready to go with the spines off. It's slimier than okra when cooked, so it needs to go through a desliming process to become particularly pleasant. I like the young cactus paddles we see in the spring. Unfortunately, when I see "Nopal Cactus Water," all I can think of is trying to drink nopal cactus slime.

Thanks for the heads up tho. I love cactus water. It's so healthy. I remember reading somewhere that it can be used in place of human plasma if it became necessary. Very hydrating and much healthier than Gatorade.
