Allo!
No clue for me yet!
I did manage to eat a small slice of thin crust pizza last night! but am still trying to keep my stomach under control, and basically eating a soft diet.
What's for dinner where you are?

(1,706 posts)I try to fix two vegetarian meals each week. Not always easy to come up with vegetarian offerings that teenage boys like. Minestrone has a 75% approval rating, but the dissenting 25% can fix himself a sandwich.
Hope you are feeling better soon ....

(3,744 posts)I usually do but didn't buy any this week. Darn. I will probably make a nice omelet as I really don't feel like a whole lot this evening anyway. Maybe put some uncured maple flavored organic ham in it (very thinly sliced) and a few scallions. Maybe season it with a little truffle salt and a piece of toast. One of my favorite "I'm not that hungry" supers.

(50,130 posts)Browned and degreased hamburger simmered with dill, oregano, lots of garlic, lemon juice, a bit of dried mint, caramelized mushrooms, and plain greek yogurt added for the last five minutes of simmer time. S&P to taste.
Bulgar pilaf: lightly toast bulgur wheat in a bit of butter in a saute pan. Add sliced yellow onion and a handful of minced celery leaves and inside stalks. Add chicken stock -- about equal parts of bulgar and stock should do it. Simmer til wheat is al dente. Not quite soft. Add some chopped fresh spinach to the pan and stir in. Cover for a few minutes. (I actually like this cold, later.)
The yogurt may separate as it simmers. No sweat -- it will taste delicious.

(20,234 posts)lettuce, tomato, cucumber, goat cheese (an unallowed diet cheat for me, but I wanted it!), avocado, red bell pepper, mushrooms, bacon ends, chia seeds and greek olives that I bought after a long olive conversation with some stranger at the market, the two of use bought the last two jars of that brand. I love odd store talks with people, maybe because I'm such a natural introvert it feels like an accomplishment to start up a conversation with a total stranger.
