Going to a party this afternoon. It's a work party. I think they are serving stuffed peppers, crab cakes, and some other things I can't remember.
I doubt if I'll be making dinner tonight, having attended this. If I had my way, though, I'd be staying home, fixing my own dinner and dining with either the RG or alone.

(130,908 posts)This is the third variation from 1 rotisserie chicken!
After 2 days of having it 'straight,' with veges, made chicken curry, had it for 2 days and still have a bit left, and now chix soup!
Don't think it will last past tomorrow, but very pleased (with the chicken and myself!)

(1,451 posts)Chicken livers dredged in fresh bread crumbs, a few herbs, and parmesan then wrapped in bacon and roasted. To make up for that decadence...Jasmine rice cooked with sauteed onions, garlic, and peas. I'm not scheduled for a cholesterol test for a couple of months.

(35,670 posts)Chicken livers gave me a high once. I had been a vegetarian for years, and had not observed the rules of vegetarianism very well. I was iron deficient. When my doc told me to have some chicken livers, I said OK! Had chicken livers, tomato sauce, and pasta. I'll never forget the rush I got--I was euphoric!
So yes--iron rich they are.

(1,451 posts)They really are full of good stuff BUT the negatives are profound for cholesterol sufferers That's why we only eat them once a year ( or twice if I'm feeling daring)
