* On Iron Chef, I have regularly seen him admire custom made devices and say "I want one of those!"
* I own a Swiss Army Knife, which has a corkscrew as one of the tools. I have used it to draw a cork exactly once; I found that the worm was too short, and the knife body made a terrible handle since it dug into my fingers. I would rather have a tool that does one thing, but does it well than a tool that does several things poorly.
* On a Good Eats show, he showed us what he uses to roll out fresh pasta. It was one of those pasta rolling machines permanently affixed to an ironing board. I thought this was a good idea, but it is most certainly a unitasker.
