Did minor amounts of helping the housemate in making four batches of dough for various cookie types, the parts that needed more arm strength.

I'm planning to strain and bottle the extracts this weekend, I can hardly wait! I need to print up some neat labels for them. I've been careful about taking the potted saffron crocus plants indoors at night, and they're finally starting to get big enough, I'm hoping the weather will stay above freezing during the day for another week or two, might get some blooms out of these ones too.

That's a real Christmas--both making the cookies and the unique blackberry extracts. The blackberry extracts would be hard to find on the commercial market, and if one could find them, they'd probably be pricey.

I remember when I was a kid, this one particular family would send a homemade card every year. The card always had a photo of the family in it, but the card itself was designed by the mother. The father was a printer and somehow managed to do a die cut, so the card itself was always some unusual shape, like a gingerbread man. Those were the cards I liked. I liked them all, but it's the ones that have the individual creativity that I find the most fun.
