Dough from Trader Joe's. (hey, it's only $1.19 - who needs kneading? )

The usual suspects: sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, black olives, fresh garlic, anchovies.

And it was really good. Housemate was doing a copycat version of some she had on her cruise that drops the usual ricotta and instead adds a layer based on a white sauce of some sort.

Almost time to make the third batch of jam and oh heck, I just realized I haven't sterilized enough jars in advance. Going to be a late batch tonight.

for cabbage soup.

When I was a kid and we didn't have a lot of money we made one with a couple slices of bacon, add potatoes and cabbage and it was great. Soak up the juice with bread and butter.

....and I am kinda sad to say goodbye to the gravy.

After I stripped the carcass of most of the meat, I roasted it and the aromatics with several cups of water to make some more broth. That works just great for making what I now call "after gravy". LOL
