What's for dinner? ~ Sunday, Nov 15, 2015

For me, I'm in the kitchen ... making kimchi (kimchee). I'll let you know in a week how it came out. If it comes out OK, I'll post the recipe I used.

Anyway, today will be grilled chicken legs with a spicy BBQ sauce. I made a mac salad yesterday to go with, and I'm thinking maybe stir-fried broccoli as another side.

since the heat rising from the compressor will help it ferment.

The fridge is always "on". May as well use the heat from such.

ps: I also put my dough there to proof.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and stuffing. We were both feeling sort of beat, but wanted comfort foods.

Reminds me, I wanted to bring in some potted stuff from the patio, we're getting frosts almost every night lately. The plants will be more comfortable in the garage again tonight.

A grey, cloudy day on the cool side, so perfect for some homemade chili. Served up with some bean and cheese nachos. Baked the carrot-mincemeat cake again today and this was our dessert.

I'm channeling the 1960's here today

I'm trying to clear out the freezer and pantry in preparation for the Thanksgiving shopping haul! I still have a pot roast and three more chops to get rid of this week so we will be eating hearty! I've also been really craving lentil soup so I'm thinking I need to do a batch of that soon too.
