p.s. I saw on the weather that our colleagues in the south are having very hot weather. I have something to recommend: the watermelon slushie. I made them and they are so delicious and cooling that I think I'll be drinking them the rest of the summer.

They are so simple to make: simply freeze your watermelon. Cut or scoop it out and put in the blender. Zap, zap, there's your slushie.

Some recipes recommend a T of lime juice and others say a little agave. I liked mine just out of the blender.

You can freeze the melon in quarters or in slices. Either way works just fine.

and a mushroom risotto. I made a three-bean salad this morning, so I guess I'll gobble some of that too.

some cold cucumber soup. It's a creamy cold soup, it has greek yogurt in it.

I'm having that along with some crusty bread and whipped butter, chopped up a red cherokee to go with it too!
