I see those reports, too, and keep wondering if they will be raising the prices, but so far, no.

then the rooster haters got all upset about the noise.

We don't use a lot of eggs but in the summer I want egg salad sandwiches. And deviled eggs.

we shall overcome.
there are so many other noises around here louder and more annoying that my boys. i think once it becomes more commonplace, it will melt into the background like the noise from the trains at the end of the block.
a lot of my neighbors love the sound. most of them come from mexico, so it really reminds them of home.

but you dont need roos for eggs. a lot of towns allow hens but no roos.
i keep them to keep the girls safe, tho. big upsurge in cooper's hawks around here. i blame the roo haters.

I remember going to Gramma's house and hearing the roosters in the morning! It was wonderful!

I can't see how it's any different than the hooting of the owls.

I'm the the Antelope Valley, about 100 mi west from you. But I guess it really doesn't matter, since it all looks the same in any direction after one goes north of the mountains, eh?

Or, from my neck of the woods, it could also be Morongo Valley. My daughter lived in Moreno Valley for about 12 years, on Old Valley Road. Now she's in Mira Loma.

But yeah....eggs are out of sight. Bad news for my son and I, since we eat a LOT of them!

How's the fire treating you? Much smoke and haze your way? It's really thick here....lots of soot and ash all over my kitchen counter tops for the past 3 days. Our eyes are stinging and watering like crazy. And we're the OTHER side of the mountain from Big Bear. Stay safe.

Today I paid $2.49.

Still a pretty cheap source of protein compared to beef, chicken, or pork.
