Bought a loaf of good Italian bread, will slice off the heels to go with the stew. Green salad made with escarole and call it a wrap

Record cold in my neck of the woods. I'm walking around with my winter robe over my clothes. Nothing better than stew on a cold, nasty day.

getting together with one of my bffs, but we haven't decided if i'm going to cook or if she's going to take me out. if i cook, it's going to be country pork ribs with mashed and slaw. the ribs are on sale for 1.88 a pound right now, so i'm going to get some regardless.

Cornish hen in the oven tonight. Also, roasted Brussels spouts w/ garlic and honey. Not sure about the "starch" component yet, if any. Maybe a pasta al fredo? I still have time to decide...

My refrigerator is very disorganized and I can't stand it. I'm taking everything out and ...well, you know the drill.

So as such, I'm going to have some fun challenging myself on how to use up bits of this and that.

But I think this is what it will be:

One of those prime steaks
Tossed green salad
Stir fry broccoli w/garlic and ginger

Dessert: pineapple slices with melted dark chocolate with mint.

Went out last night with the family before attending the triplets' 8th grade graduation. Ate at an Italian restaurant; I ordered a rigatoni with Italian sausage in a cream sauce.

It'll be a number of ready to go meals, sandwiches, snacks, plus stock from the bones.

Tonight - chicken, curried rice and asparagus. Nectarines flambé - i.e. nectarines and rum set on fire, cooled and slathered with whipped cream.
