enjoying my trader joe's bounty

honey goat cheese spread on honey wheat bread and cheddar on their savory crisps. the goat cheese is absolutely to die for, omg. sweet and creamy and spreadable. i have a hairbrained idea of putting it on the crumpets i picked up with a bit of their cherry preserves.

we picked up some snacks - green pea crisps, a dark chocolate bar and some roasted almonds and a few convenience items - roasted peppers and minced garlic, plus amazingly priced sesame oil and a can of coffee. but it was the frozen section where i went nuts. i got bibimbap and veggie pad thai bowls, mandarin orange chicken and chicken dumplings. i passed on the gyoza sauce and will just dip them in a soy and sesame oil mixture. husband had wanted some coconut oil, but they were out.

the husband went with a bibimbap bowl and it was pretty damned tasty with a nice level of spiciness.

but that cheese, guys, i just can't get over how good it is.

i didn't get to spend as much time there as i wanted to because the husband came with me, but i'm not going to complain because it's the first time he's gone shopping with me in at least six months.

the produce looked just as good as it does at my kroger store and some of it was more reasonably priced.

i can't wait to get back.

maybe the husband will like it. he doesn't like anything but kraft mac and cheese.

They have one that is shell pasta, that one won't convince a Kraft purist in my experience

The produce might be as good as your Kroger, but in my experience, it spoils faster than anything I've bought elsewhere.

Enjoy your bounty!

Our closest one is about forty minutes away on the highway and I have to ask my husband to drive me, as I'm not a good driver. I made the mistake of having him take me there on a Saturday right after it had opened. Well, the traffic and parking was horrid...we ended up parking half a mile away and carrying our goodies all that way back! The second time will obviously be on a weekday (he just retired), and I'll bribe him with lunch at the Shake Shack in the same shopping center. I NEED my TJ's!
