Well, once again I bought chicken thighs to make chicken stock, but I've found a better recipe: black pepper-honey chicken thighs.
The recipe has ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and white wine in it, so it has a bit of an Asian influence to it.
I'm also making up a big tossed salad with red and green lettuce.
I'd love to make sweet potato fries to go with the chicken thighs, but none in the house, so I'll settle for zucchini fritters.

(9,833 posts)included my mother's recipe for chicken pie, braised red cabbage w/apples, glazed carrots & (homegrown) turnips, a salad with broccoli/cherry tomatoes, and homemade bread. My mother always made chicken pie with just a pastry crust and chicken/gravy inside. She made it that way all during my childhood and never added peas, etc. because I had an allergy (to peas, peanuts) but later on added carrots, peas, etc. to encourage her grandchildren to eat more vegetables.
