Related: About this forumCan anybody tell me what I might do with pistachios this year?
Besides the main dishes, I like to do things with nuts, or relishes. Well, my Italian green tomato relish is in the works already, but I'd like to do something with pistachios.
Any ideas out there?

(27,310 posts)7. Roast them and make a pesto with them and freeze. I make a good pesto
with spinach and pistachios with a bit of parsley thrown in.
Make pistachio flour (freeze the extra because it will go rancid, otherwise). It's great to have on hand to add to baked goods. All of them. Dust on homemade truffles! It's also good sprinkled on popcorn with salt and paprika.
Make a pistachio gazpacho. Oh my, so good.
Homemade pistachio liqueur. I've done this with walnuts and hazelnuts but not pistachios but I don't see why not.
