Should I add roasted red peppers now or just before serving?
Thanks for your help!

I would add before serving.
I would need a taste test ...

I'm not a big fan of the taste of carrots, so my son helped me with the spices. The high temperature on Sunday is supposed to be 46, and I like to eat soup when the weather's cold.

Hot and spicy soup is a favorite of mine.

The reason why you'd want to add things at the last is generally for things like aromatic herbs or spices that would break down too much during the cooking process, or for things that you want to preserve texture.
Sounds pretty good though. I bet the sweetness of the carrots will go great with a little spiciness.
