1. It's really hard to screw up fresh shrimp except by overcooking.

The shrimp you have to be especially careful with are the frozen variety. If you get them flash frozen, shells on, you'll have something that tastes shrimpy. The ones shelled, cooked and flash frozen taste like cardboard. They're suitable for salads, mainly.

People screw them up a lot, leaving shells on and not deveining them.

but those shells are snipped up the back and the sand vein removed.

Do people out there really eat shrimp shit and think it's normal?
