Can we talk about hanger steak?

Over the last few years I have ordered and enjoyed a few meals with hanger steak. Very beefy, like a sirloin, yet tender.

So today I got a hanger steak at the grocery. 6 dollars a pound, .75 pound. An hour with a shake of garlic salt, sea salt and fresh pepper on both sides

Pan fried in cast iron, a bit of char.

Cut on the bias. Put on salad with maytag blue cheese and roasted tri color beets.

Dammit, that is one tasty steak. I am not going back to NY strip, but I will have a ribeye.

Is that similar to hanger? It was SO GOOD. Just rubbed with olive oil, salt, pepper and grilled. I am getting them this week to cook for us at home.

I think your idea of over a salad is perfect.
