Related: About this forumnew crock pot! yay!
my old one was a piece of junk - deep and round with a terrible hot spot. bad enough that it's been just sitting in the cabinet for a couple years. but today i got one from my mommy!
it's nothing fancy, but it's a bigger oval one and that's what i wanted.
i'm definitely picking up a roast with the next paycheck.

Serve chops with veggies and sauce spooned over rice. Mmmm.

(72,300 posts)I've used it two or three times a week (in the cold months) since 2010. I'm thinking of replacing it because the glaze is looking cloudy. I believe it may be developing hairline cracks.

(72,300 posts)We seriously want a new grill. We left the old one when we moved two years ago because it was beyond repair.
I rarely turn on the stove in the summer. Using the oven is out of the question as far as I'm concerned.

(2,016 posts)A coworker gave me her old crock pot a few months back - which was cool, because I never owned one. It's pretty large capacity, and works good.
Always cool when new kitchen gadgets come around! I just got my pasta roller in the mail yesterday. Hand crank, but I can't wait to use it.

It was under $37, with postage. I'll let you know how versatile it is, and how it"rolls"...

(14,733 posts)We've got two - one big oval one for big things that will last a couple of days or when we've got company, and one small round one when we just need to do something like mozza-stuffed meatballs for one meal. It might be a bit overkill to have two, but the small one allows us to use a lot less liquid/sauce to cover smaller things than if we used the big oval. We're looking at new non-stick pots and pans now. Most of ours have started to lose bits of teflon here or there. It's tough finding any we both like, since I want 'Made in USA', and she wants 'dishwasher safe', and neither of us wants to spend the earth. I've got exactly one all-clad pan, which I love, but there's no way we can afford to replace an entire set with all-clad unless we do like one piece a year.
