Weird pesto & yogurt marinated chicken.

Last edited Thu Jul 17, 2014, 11:05 AM - Edit history (1)

Chicken marinated for 8 hours in about half and half yogurt and pesto w/more minced garlic and salt and pepper.
Grilled.

It doesn't taste 'grilled'.
But it's good.
Very tender.
You can taste the pesto.
But the chicken is green.
Weird.

for a chicken marinade. Add curry powder or jerk rub plus any citrus. Versatile stuff, yogurt.

And then are surprised that the chicken turns green?

Weird.

Sometimes the color of food can be a real turn off.

I made something with pasta recently where the red wine just gave it a really ugly, muddy color. REally detracted from the dish, imo.
