I'm going to continue with my Chinese recipes. Still yet to make are scallion pancakes and my Asian cucumbers. Last night I made sesame noodles and also chicken gyoza. The latter was from TJ's. I made Chinese dumplings once and swore I'd never do it again. Too time-consuming.
You know how sesame noodles look so good in the store delicatessans? Then taste them and--?!!? They're never very good. But this recipe I found produces excellent sesame noodles. As toppings, I used sliced cucumbers and chopped, roasted peanuts.
The chicken gyoza was very good, too.
I also roasted pineapple with maple syrup as the basting sauce.
I just love having Chinese around on busy weekends like this one, where I'm planting my garden and getting out my spring clothes.

(8,646 posts)An early Easter dinner. We had steak (my parents make the best steak - they buy a big chunk of filet mignon, cut it themselves - thick - and rub it with minced garlic and other seasonings, then grill it perfectly), asparagus, salad, baby potatoes and garlic bread. yum.

(7,720 posts)Tonight I made more of a Thanksgiving dinner. We had roast turkey, stuffing/dressing, gravy, pierogis, asparagus, rolls, and applesauce.
Tomorrow, for Easter, we will be 14 and eating Sunday Italian Dinner. It will be easy to reheat before my brothers' family leaves in the early afternoon for the 250 mile trip home.
