(2,016 posts)The original recipe calls for pumpkin, but a gourd is a gourd.
I might make it more on the alfredo side by adding cream and grated parm.

(28,476 posts)My sweetie is still having problems eating solids after his dental surgery a week and a half ago, and I am soooooooooooooo boooooored with soups, but completely uninspired to cook for just myself. Maybe if I put a million mushrooms in the sauce I'll feel better about it.

(28,476 posts)My sweetie had seven teeth pulled for his dentures so this sounds perfect. Plus, he's an ironworker and I've been worried about him not getting enough protein and iron. This also helps that problem. Thank you, pengillian101!

(28,476 posts)Thank you for this recipe! I can see why it's a favorite. We will also be eating it all the time now. I also shared it - untasted - with another friend who had dental work done, she raved and raved about it. Very good call. Thanks for sharing!

(50,130 posts)Mine will be spread with baby power greens (also TJ), mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes (also TJ), minced red onion, pepperoni, a drizzle of EVOO, cracked black pepper. The baby power greens really really do well as a pizza topper.
Looking forward to it. It's 70 degrees here on the riverbank today, our warmest day so far. Tomorrow, back to another week of cool and rainy. The salmon fishermen are out today in boats -- lots to watch. And I had a hairy woodpecker at the suet feeder today!

(17,045 posts)I need to stop! I love it so much though!! Even the nasty processed kind! UGH! I do so sparingly though. I have a green salad and some steamed green beans to go with... that's gotta count for something!

(106,886 posts)Made the rice with flavored water - soy sauce, green onion cuts, garlic, black pepper. Browned the shrimp in a mess of butter and curry powder. Tossed it all together. Came out pretty good.
The grapefruit was a nice end but really wanted something chocolate...so I got some Reese's for a movie snack.
LOL, my sundown walk.
