what's for dinner- saturday, march 8

it's grocery day and i'll decide at the store, but i have a lot of work to do in the kitchen today.

my friend's mom is going through chemo and i'm doing dinner for them tomorrow night. they're more home food people, so i'm making pulled bbq chicken, slaw, tater salad and bread. a batch of brownies if i'm really ambitious. my plan is to get everything put together tonight so that all i have to do tomorrow is bake the bread and warm the chicken in the sauce.

happy weekend

Makes me wish I were your sick neighbor! Well, almost...

Tonight is leftovers.......meatloaf, new potatoes, some sort of vegetable.

Enjoy your weekend! It's a beautiful spring day here.

I have some leftover chicken from last night, and I am craving Mexican style. I'm doing the prep stuff now, so that all I have to do is pop them in the oven. Why now? Because after my 3rd beer or drink, I learned not to play with knives.

On Judie's bread. Tossed salad with chipotle dressing. Bowl of beans with tuna and chopped onion and celery on top.

Dessert was blood orange sorbet and almond cookies.

Except it was dad doing the cooking,
Hot wings, salt 'n pepper wings, chipotle wings and bbq wings. Raw veggies and garlic/peppercorn dip. Yum. My mom did cut up the veggies, LOL. My dad did everything else, include making the dip from scratch (raw egg and everything). Best dip ever. Just don't talk to anyone for a day or so afterwards, LOL, you'll scare them off with all the garlic.
