Cookie recipe calls for honey.. can I sub with corn syrup?

It's a brownie sandwich cookie, very good with cream cheese mint filling. I know the honey makes it a soft cookie, and I don't think it would alter the flavor to use syrup. But would it work?

I don't want to use my last bits of raw honey if I don't have too.

Corn syrup is mostly glucose while honey is about half glucose and half fructose.

Honey has some specific properties which enhance baked goods. If you have some brown sugar, I would substitute 4 Tbs of brown sugar and 1 Tbs of water for the honey. It may not turn out as good.

You could mix the corn syrup with some molasses or just sub the maple syrup, imo.

The honey probably adds a complexity that may be lacking with the substitute but I'm sure it will be fine. Also I have frequently substituted honey with agave with success.
