A Persian dish I've always liked, but too intimated to try and make myself. I don't know why I always fear trying to make traditional foods like that; I think I just feel they won't live up to how others make it, but I was very happy with how it turned out.

Ghormeh Sabzi is a stew consisting of LOTS of herbs (cilantro, parsley, fenugreek, dill and spinach), chunks of beef, red beans, onions and garlic. Served over rice. I love the flavor, even if all that chopping is a bitch

The chicken/vegetable mixture looks good so far. Crust is puff pastry. Haven't got that far yet.

Not very Mexican, I know, but I need to use up some bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado before our visitors arrive tomorrow.

Cleaning out the fridge time!

Inside is chili-ground beef mixture, topped with cornbread, sour cream and scallions.

Vegetables are roasted carrots and parsnips.

Dessert is rice pudding.

Cooked the lentils in saved chicken broth and spices. All came out really well.

Microwave popcorn for the game, which is on right now...
