Made a batch of Bolognese sauce a while ago, and have a fairly large container left to use up.

Got a bad storm coming through though, so hopefully the power doesn't go out mid-bake.

5. Yup, center-field is at the 55 yard line.

Field is also wider, and end-zones are deeper. 12 men on the field, and 3 downs to make 10 yards. Some other rule differences, too.

8. One of the things I love about US baseball is the geometry of it all. Tinkers to Evers to Chance.

And how open ended the rules afford for a game.

1910 baseball poem by Franklin Pierce Adams. The poem is presented as a single, rueful stanza from the point of view of a New York Giants fan watching the Chicago Cubs infield of shortstop Joe Tinker, second baseman Johnny Evers, and first baseman Frank Chance complete a double play.

These are the saddest of possible words:"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,Tinker and Evers and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
Making a Giant hit into a double -
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
