There was a sale on 100% natural beef. Got a 1 1/2 lb top sirloin roast for $4.59/lb. May have to make dash to the Fiesta for soy sauce. Got onions, garlic, straw mushrooms and peppers.

The last of the tomatoes?

I've got to get to Thursday, when we plan to move and get some groceries. Have little left. Should probably make another loaf of bread.

It's going to be rice and beans very soon. I've got a little citrus and some arugula someone brought me.

I need to get creative, but I'm not in the mood.

At least we have wine!

there's half a cheese enchilada and half a shredded pork tamale. of course, this is assuming my husband doesn't eat it first. if he does, there's leftover pork chops, too.

The salad I was going to make last night, but too tired to finish. It's shredded red cabbage with mandarin oranges and toasted hazelnuts.

Should be colorful and very pretty!

The beef kabobs have been marinated in bourbon.

No wine but I'll prol'ly knock off a Mike's strawberry daiquiri. New flavor.

And will freeze some. Because of mobility problems, I use a grocery delivery service because it's a loooonnnngggg way from my car in the building's garage to my place.

Anyway, this baby was 10 pounds! Very good, but way too much for me. Still, it was a good day to have the oven turned on for 3+ hours. Ate it with dressing, gravy and a tomato on the side. I'll eat the turkey for several days this week, then freeze the rest for a future date.

They were originally intended to be parts of two different meals, but these things just happen around here sometimes.

It turned out to be quite tasty too.
