Today is our 29th wedding anniversary. Who would have thought, 29 years and still having a great time. Anyway, yesterday morning MR asked me to help her with something heavy in her car. Oh boy, what now,

well. . .

ribs going now, pastrami in the fridge brining, and who knows what coming up. .

we had a nice quiet day (saving up for the big three oh next year) trying out the new KJ. The ribs turned out pretty good, although I'm need to work on my techniques and recipes with the new toy.

I was very impressed how this kept the temp steady (225-230) all through the cook and after looking this morning how little of the lump charcoal was actually burnt (which is reusable according to the literature). I think this will be fun to use and am looking for more healthier recipes: fish, chicken and veggies for instance, although pizza is definitely on the menu.

has loved it ever since. I love the results!!

I'm not just saying this: his pizza has me not ever wanting anybody else's. It's that good.

AND the pulled pork is the best I've ever tasted and I have tasted a ton.

Enjoy!!
