1. Just want to say this

I haven't figured it out yet, but I like this thread because it gets me thinking about what to do. It is better for me to know in advance, rather than leave things until late afternoon.

It helps me with time planning. For example, if I know I'm making a certain recipe and I don't have everything, I can ask a friend to pick it up on their trip to the store.

Or if I need something from the garden, I can bring it to the kitchen.

I can do a little bit of the recipe at various times throughout the day so there's not so much to do later. Wash vegetables, chop onion and store it for later, that sort of thing.

And needless to say, there are always good ideas from other posters!

So for tonight, the only thing I have planned is blueberry-arugula salad with smoked almonds.

I'm thinking pasta, perhaps.

But I generally have my menus planned a month in advance because I have to provision.

Anyway, it's a great community builder and this is a great community.

for shopping once per week. I get good ideas from the thread and write them down for next week's menu .

Going to grill the steak, some onions and peppers.

Wish I had some guacamole, but sour cream will have to do.

I've got some mint on hand, too, so I may make some yummy mojitos!

How about you?

with radish pods sauteed with a small bit of bacon.

Edit for a menu change - adding in biscuits with homemade-this-week cherry strawberry wine jam, with cherries/berries from the garden.

I stuff the peppers with a ground beef and rice filling. We enjoyed them.
