(111,339 posts)Soda Stream mixes are good but I'm getting sick of them. Time for apple, cherry, peach, and a few other fruit flavors. They should be outstanding in fizzy water.

(41,694 posts)And I absolutely detest the taste of any artificial or even nonsugar natural sweeteners.. They all leave a taste in my mouth that say "It's not suger"
So I settle for the flavor without any sugar.

(111,339 posts)but I have a pretty good tolerance for Splenda, which is what the soda mixes are sweetened with. Unfortunately, a small study recently has shown that Splenda can raise blood sugar levels slightly, so I imagine that's out, too. I've never had any funky aftertaste from it.
I can't drink anything with sugar, it's like trying to drink maple syrup.
