My friends have suggested (and I quote) "Redfish Anna (sauteed with jumbo lump crab), butter sauce on the side and substitute white truffle rissotto for the garlic mash". Since I've never eaten there I'll take their suggestions and see what happens. I really don't see how that strategy can possibly fail.
I can taste it already.....
Just so I don't sound like a food snob, last night we had hamburgers, the night before left-over spaghetti. This is a RARE treat. But damn,......

(28,476 posts)The one thing I truly, truly miss about living in Mississippi is that food! Redfish is divine and cannot be found outside LA-MS-AL-FL. Though I have to say, if it were my birthday right now in Mississippi, I'd be looking for some crawfish festival to celebrate.
Cheers!

... that it was a "drive-in", I thought "How cool, a fine restaurant where the waitstaff
delivers your white truffle risotto on rollerskates and hooks your tray up to your car
window."

(2,012 posts)For Lincoln a chocolate ice cream log and for Washington cherries and whipped cream on top. I remember well when I visited Abe in that log cabin in Indiana and told him how I had scolded George for cutting down one of my favorite trees.

(14,487 posts)I am making this, but I am not going to use the canned soup. I try to avoid using canned soup as much as I can. I'm thinking about using half and half and sour cream instead.

(146,218 posts)Getting a new shipment of produce today and excited to see what I get. Will base the rest of the meal on that, but I am thinking I might repeat those delicious BLT/Avocado wraps I did the other day.

Grilled zucchini salad.
Thanks for indulging my curiosity, livetohike!
And urm, bif, please, do tell, where would you be if you were "in the bog." That's a regionalism that doesn't register here in Jersey.

(9,791 posts)I picked up a bag of frozen Pepperidge Farm ciabatta rolls try so I baked those for an accompaniment. The rolls were very good and went well with the pasta fagioli.
