(272 posts)There's a new butcher shop that opened here. They have an informal restaurant as well, and they sell organic hormone-free heritage breeds of goat, chicken, pork, beef, lamb, duck, turkey, rabbit, and other kinds of meat. They have a website HERE. I hope they stay in business!

(2,012 posts)She's having fun cooking and being from NOLA likes lots of spice:
Ground turkey, browned in skillet in 2 T coconut oil
Red and black pepper
Tony Chacheres' creole seasoning
Italian spices
Sharp cheddar, mozarella, parmesan, grated
Add cooked quinoa and saute.
