Hope I don't start a war here. We are going to have corn flake crusted chicken, but I'm going to use special K, cause that's what I got!
I'm also going to make it like chicken fingers, so we can have it on sandwiches at a later date.
On the side, roasted sweet potato fries.
How about you?

(146,218 posts)If I were to, I would fix it like you are, though.
I also love foie gras (don't tell anyone).

(146,218 posts)I had never in my life tasted something so amazing.
But now they have gone and outlawed it in California, which I think is an outrage.
If you ever want to try it, I would start with a plain mousse or a pate. If you like it, and get the opportunity to just have it seared, you will be in heaven.

(2,012 posts)There aren't many choices we can make to treat animals that we eat humanely but we can learn how calves for veal and ducks for foie gras are raised and choose alternatives that are just as tasty.

(146,218 posts)As to my dinner, I thought the Special K added a whole new twist to it.

And the spicy sweet potatoes were awesome.

(14,487 posts)The "Showtime" cook at HEB was giving out samples of shrimp made with this sauce last weekend, served over rice. It was pretty tasty, and easy to make, so I am trying it. I am making the brown rice right now, and thawing the shrimp. It should all be ready in about 30-45 minutes.

(14,487 posts)I didn't use the full amount of butter the recipe called for, because I thought it was a lot. But it turned out too strong and too salty. So I am going to try it again tomorrow with less sauce mix and more butter.
It was "almost" really good. Just too strong.

(146,218 posts)It should be spicy.
If you have shell on, leave them on. You can remove the easily when you are ready to eat them and they won't soak up so much spice.
Good on you for trying this. It's not the simplest thing to get right.

(106,886 posts)The soup was great - diced sweet potatoes, lemon grass, onions, garlic, kale, mild green Thai sauce simmered in veggie broth.
The sausage, peppers and rice noodles were a second thought. Should have just tossed noodles into the soup at the end and saved the sausage for a sandwich or spaghetti dish.
