Rainy day here, feel like having simple comfort food and a movie later on.

Made some chocolate brownies with peanut butter filling last night. As cupcakes instead of a pan loaf thing. Quick single servings. That will be the movie snack...

I kid you not.

BTW, I got my ribs while the family was here. A friend of ours came over and made them two different ways, both delicious. And they were ridiculously cheap (like $4 a rack).

Looking through it now and really excited to try some of their recipes.

Looks like we may have Basil wrapped tomatoes/goat cheese and toasted orange pecan appetizers.
Then an avocado/apple/jicama salad. DH can have the left over lamb chop, but I am going to be very happy with this.

I am also going to make some pickled spicy carrots to have herbed tuna salad sandwiches tomorrow.

Yippee! I love a new cookbook and this one looks great.

again. Same recipe from Cooks Illustrated that I made a couple of weeks ago. My kitchen smells heavenly!

Daughter just demanded we go get donuts. they were supposed to be hot, but weren't. Waste of calories unless they are IMHO.
