I found a fun vintage recipe blog.

from RecipeCurio.com

"You're welcome to take a peek at my collection of vintage recipes & household notes, please print off whatever you like for your own recipe box.

You'll find charming handwritten recipes, old clippings, vintage recipe booklets & promo pieces. They may be a bit tattered, yellowed with age and sometimes stained, but these recipes were saved, used & cherished for decades...and now they've settled here and shared with you!"

I've spent way too much time there, but it's fun

I have some vintage cookbooks from my grandmothers and may see if the blog author can use them.

Needless to say, I haven't tried any of those recipes yet (nor do I plan to in the foreseeable future).

It's called the Gallery of Regrettable Food:

"Cooking with Seven-Up"

"Clown Pickles"

"Wonderful Starch Plates"

The guy who created the site, fittingly, is also a
connoisseur and aficionado of all things Republican.
Or that's what I remember from when I lived in
Minnesota.

handwritten recipes included in the book from our mother and both our grandmothers.

I suspect it was a wedding gift (both grandmothers probably thought my mom needed some tips - she wasn't a great cook. Great nurse, but a so-so cook) and it grew over time with the inserts.

It's a treasured gem now. Thanks for the post, looks like fun.

I'd found a Pumpkin Pie Spice latte recipe online a few days ago, and while I made quite a few lattes, I still have leftover pumpkin puree (it was the largest sized can!).

I looked at this link, saw a pumpkin cookie recipe, and am about to make a batch to use up my puree.

That is pretty cool

paste them along with household tips in an old Sears catalog. I have it now. I usually go through it and pick out baking recipes for my fair entries.
