2. I'm in a spicy frame of mind, too.

We will be having Liar, Liar Chili. It sets the mouth on fire going in and the pants on fire coming out. Dedicated to the Challenger because he is the assh&%le of all politics.

13. We went completely off grid for a week. It was great!

14. Yes!

We vacationed in the Adirondacks last summer and had access to--nothing! He sketched; I read or wrote. The cellphone was inoperable in that area. All balm to the soul.

15. It's a great thing to do.

We pulled into one cove where there was a connection - from where it came, I have no idea. I insisted that we pretend that we didn't have it and move on in the morning.

Blissful! Now back to the election.

4. Just in from the hinterlands, and had a great time.

We had loaded up on really good meats from Whole Paycheck and excellent produce from a local farmers market.

We ate like Queens and King every night. A great culinary trip, as well as a wonderful respite with points of unexpected adventures.

All is well.

Debating on whether to have our celebratory eating out night tonight at the local restaurant or eat in and try to catch the debate on radio.

If we eat in, I will be making Seared Asian Steak and Mushrooms on Mixed Greens with Ginger Dressing

16. Decision made. We will go into town because we all want to spend their final

night eating on board. It's been a glorious vacation with two of our very bestest friends in the world.

5. Black Bean Chili, Quesadillas, and a fruit salad

So we are on the Mexican food wavelength today.

We had some really great black beans last night. Wish I had made more!

18. Roasted soy/sesame chicken with green beans, mushrooms. Over Jasmine rice.

23. Picked up some fabulous haricots verts at the farmers market

when we are in.

The market was a huge treat for me and the produce was tasty and lasted for a very long time.
