What's for Dinner, Thurs., Feb. 22, 2024

Salad and rustic bread, toasted in air fryer. This is the salad showing my microgreens, which are doing very well now with the additional sunlight.

I love the frilly red ones.

The other ingredients of the salad are chopped ham and cheddar cheese cubes, Persian cucumber slices, fresh celery leaves from the garden, and chickpeas. French dressing. Crunchy Chinese noodles on top.

Ginger kombucha.

I might have something else later at an event I'm going to because there's a buffet of Russian food. It's a lecture on the Russian ballet, organized by my friend Anna, who is head of the Russian language studies at a university where we used to teach.

and learn something most every time. Thank you.

Tonight, on a 1 to 10, my dinner will be about a 2. A bowl of Raisin Bran, unsweetened cranberry juice and a banana. Tomorrow is a new day.

Your salad is lovely.

With a few goodies from the fridge, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts.
Also a few sausage ravioli - nice Chianti as well.

I'm using pre-marinated pork tenderloin (it was on sale at the supermarket) - slice it thick; pound it thin; pan fry; serve on brioche buns with coleslaw.
