My grandmother used to make it & I was the only grandchild who liked it. We'd eat it over pancakes or French toast with a dallop of sour cream. Oh man, I'm craving some now!

both grandmother and mother used to make it. I'm going to ask my brother to check the canned goods to see if there is any and if there is, mail it to me. I'm sure they picked from bushes in the wild. Both were gardeners but i don't remember a chokecherry bush in either of their gardens.

There's such a thing as chokecherry wine, too. I think chokecherries in the wild might be poisonous to dogs and horses.

And I found the Colorado Cherry Co. (www.coloradocherryco.com) which carries it. Fourth generation local mountain company.

Last year and I just couldn't not pick a few gallons which meant I had to do something with them. I had never made anything with them before. I tried three different batches and ended up with a batch of jelly, a batch of syrup and a batch of sauce. Most has been given out as gifts. It's good, think I'll make more this year if the crop is good.

It was great, a unique flavor but I like it, goes good with the sage in the sausage.

Mom used to make that, too. Loved it. I'm putting that on my list for my brother to search for, too.

I had coffee early and a small banana.

After TJ got home from work she cooked some corn dogs. I couldn't resist and had one two. I am not supposed to eat them because of the sugar in the cornbread.
