Sending "feeling better" vibes your way.

I tried this Macaroni Salad from Pioneer Woman and love it!!! http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2012/06/the-best-macaroni-salad-ever/comment-page-3/#comments

It's the sweet and spicy pickles (and juice) that does it for me!

Hope you feel better soon!

Just goes to show you that when you think you have reached the bottom of the cupboard, you haven't.

I don't generally like macaroni salad, but this sounds good. Honestly, it's like some super good karma that you posted this here just now.

Thanks!!

I LOVE that you had everything in stock!!

Mine was a little dry the next day, but a little more of that sweet/spicy pickle juice fixed that right up!!!

She just had the trip from hell visiting her mom and brother. Her second awful trip in the month, trying to help family with issues and getting crapped all over.

But that Chard Tart should make her happy - nice glass of wine, steamed summer squash from the garden!

Hope you feel better, hostess with the mostess!

crust is flour, salt, olive oil and water.

filling is sauteed greens, onions, peppers mixed with a little half and half, eggs and parmesan cheese, seasoned with fresh basil, hot pepper flakes and black pepper.

Supposedly a spring specialty in Italy - Chard tart (Joy of Cooking -we added a few touches). Instead of all chard, we used a mix of chard, kale, and beet greens.

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well I kind of have been having The Yuks lately, too. Today is no exception, which is why I haven't decided on what to have for dinner. Nothing sounds good right now. I may just settle for the Lean Cuisine tortellini in the freezer.

And that you will soon be your sassy self again. I've not been cooking much with the temps record-breakers this week. Tonight, I did poach a chicken breast and make a fabulous bowl of fresh salsa crude, which we had with refried beans and soft flour tortillas. Big yum is the Coconut Mojito. We're opting for a second round! Woo! Saturday night!

2 "dinners" today. Mac 'n cheese with a salad, sliced watermelon side. Getting set to reheat baked beans and hot dogs with spicy mustard and relish on a toasted bun - the typical Sat. night New England supper.

NRaleighliberal, my husband just made a Swiss chard quiche for us, too! We'll be having it for brunch tomorrow.

Tonight I made homemade tortilla chips and mango-red pepper-avocado salsa. I fried the chips in hot pepper oil. Umm! They were hot chips!

I never knew that turkey meatloaf can taste as good as regular meatloaf.

My husband has to work late tonight and he hates turkey in any form other than the whole bird. So, tonight was my night
