But I used to get bouts. Freaky scary ones where everything would get all swimmy. Thought I was having a stroke. Yeah, I think mine was stress and vitamin/mineral imbalance. Anyway, thank goodness I haven't had one in a while

I have had them. Very disconcerting. They seem to happen in clusters. I have also noticed those clusters occurred when I wasn't doing B-complex, and that they stopped when I was. Correlation? Don’t know, but seems to work for me.

1. Migraine with aura. I get them all of the time, jagged bright object in one eye. Then I may get it the next time in the other eye. They last 15 to 20 minutes. I was told to sit back and enjoy the light show. I have no pain. I call them Opthalmic migraines.

2. Retinal migraine is very rare and cause visual changes in one eye, it is more serious.

If you recognize it very early on in the flashing, take a "cocktail" of caffeine, Tylenol, and aspirin.
It can often stop it in its tracks, causing the jagged lines to fragment or disappear, and stop the possible ensuing headache.
It sounds counterintuitive, since caffeine can help cause migraines, but once you are getting one, it is a positive.

I don't drink coffee, so I take caffeine pill equal to 1/2 cup coffee.
One aspirin, one or two Tylenol.

I note comment below mentions Excedrin Migraine, which is indeed combination of these three ingredients

Have any doctors suggested that to you? For my friend, the splints and braces actually made her worse.
