anyone with experience with abilify?

saw my psych today and he started me on a very low dose of abilify every other day to help smooth out the edges. i'm feeling a lot more even on the whole, but my premenstrual time still triggers mood swings and can bring out the instability i feel when i'm not on medication.

i've been on a lower dose of lamictal for the past couple months as i developed a very localized rash on my elbows and one forearm. we increased the dose about three weeks ago, then the rash came back, this time on my shin. doc said he hasn't seen that before, but it subsides when we drop the dose to 100mg/day.

i still have minor concerns about being overmedicated, but i have felt better being on the multiple medications than i did when i was taking lamictal alone.

as an aside, things at home have been vastly better over the last month or so. my husband went back to moving furniture and has been in a much better mood since, i think in part because he's getting more exercise.

we have to move at the end of next month and still haven't found a new place, so i'm stressing about that a bit, but i'm looking at a place tomorrow and am hoping to find it suitable. i'm also stressing about how i'm going to manage the packing and being able to help with actually moving our crap because i fractured my elbow a couple weeks ago. the orthopedist said i'll heal up just fine, but i don't to overwork it and hurt it again.

i've been saying for a month now that i'm going to get a head start on packing some crap and sorting out things we don't need anymore, but, of course, i haven't done a damn thing other than take about a half dozen of my shirts to the thrift store. i hate moving.

So far, Abilify has been remarkable. I am able to see her true self again and it is wonderful.

I hope you feel better soon. Good luck with your move.

The side-effects were just too much to deal with.

because i'm on such a low-dose, 1 mg every other day, but i went through the booklets that came in the sample box and i can see how the side effects could be a problem.

thanks for the feedback, we'll see how it goes.
