I think the Lyme is back
After the two months of treatment last year I haven’t had a problem until recently. The weird, vivid, disruptive dreams and night sweats are back. Yay. I’m getting 2 or 3 hours of sleep at a time before waking up drenched in sweat. Plus I’ve been having problems finding words. Strangely, I can sometimes remember the word I’m trying to say in Spanish but not English (my Spanish is very basic and mostly work-related terms and phrases). So far no joint pain or migraines so that’s good. Very tired all the time again, though, and crying at the drop of a hat. Ugh.
The doc said he can’t prescribe any more oral antibiotics. I am scared of the IV treatment because I don’t know where they’ll find a vein on me and don’t know how I’ll be able to do my job with something like that hooked to me for weeks. My job is very physical. I’m just scared and disheartened and bummed.
