Shut Up Little Man!

Just watched this documentary, it was sad, funny and very compelling. It's about two young guys, Eddie and Mitch, who move to San Francisco and rent an apartment with thin walls next to some very noisy neighbors Peter and Ray. Peter is gay and Ray is a homophobe. They get into some very heated, sometimes humorous shouting matches which can be heard through the walls. One day Eddie got tired of the shouting, went next door and told Ray to quiet down. Ray threatened to kill him. That's when they started recording the shouting. The recordings became sort of an underground cult sensation and the movie details the aftermath of that.

I highly recommend it. It's streaming on Netflix.

I'd like to know what other people think about it. It's a very strange little documentary. By the end I almost felt contempt for people behind the recordings and the people who enjoyed them. It's pretty thought provoking.
