Netflix question "Continue watching"

I'm new to Netflix.

After I watch a video and have deleted it from "My List",
each time I sign on to Netflix some show above "My List" as "Continue watching".
I think it's because I ended the video before the final moments.

How can I get rid of them?

on the netflix web site and scroll down to the bottom
to my profile and viewing activity, there it lets you delete
a show (with the x). Seems to work but sometimes
not immediately...
