I just upgraded my account to eliminate the commercials. Now if only one of the streaming sites would bring back "Borgen" and the Danish version of "The Killing" I would be even happier than I am now.

As for "Borgen" and "The Killing," the Danes seem to be reluctant to grant streaming rights for their titles.

That is certainly what MHz has found. They can sell the DVDs of "Borgen," but they can't get streaming rights. They can show the excellent drama "Unit One" on their broadcast TV and sell the DVDs, but they can't get streaming rights.

Even the sale of the DVDs of the original "The Killing" have been hindered by the American remake.

However, DVDs of "The Killing" and other European dramas are available through Amazon UK. The first volume of "The Killing" is  £12.75 or $17.69 there, and as a non-resident of the UK, you don't have to pay VAT.

5. If you order DVDs from the UK, you need to either watch them on your computer

or buy an all-region DVD player. They are available online for about $20 more than a comparable North America-only model, which is the only kind sold in most U.S. stores.
