(48,217 posts)I already have Hulu Plus (the Criterion Collection of foreign and classic films, literally hundreds of offerings) plus foreign TV programming), Netflix (a bit of everything), Amazon Prime (gets all the HBO programming eventually), and Acorn TV (programming from English-speaking countries outside the U.S., with a selection that gets better and better every month).
With all that, who needs Showtime?

(7,321 posts)I've been watching on Netflix but unfortunately Cable won't release their series for quite a long time to netflix. I just finished with season 3 waiting for Season 4 to become available.
HBO Now is too expensive, especially for just launching. they should consider cutting by 1/2 if they want subscribers otherwise I'll wait it out on my Netflix account. I use Roku for streaming on my tv but have discs of these cable releases.

(3,894 posts)"the Affair" got a lot of attention. And a new series, "Happyish" is wonderful. Showtime is my only premium channel and I get my money's worth.
Enjoy!
