It was eccentric--in an almost Twin Peaks, kind of way...

The ending, though sort of lost me.

I think it was very well done in that I had no suspicion up until the moment when the detective was looking at the pictures and suddenly caught on. I caught on at the exact same moment and suddenly all of the clues fell into place in my head and it seemed like it should have been obvious all along. It's rare to see a denouement like that. It wasn't a detective gathering everybody in a room and giving a verbose explanation. It wasn't anything as obvious as a picture showing the commission of the crime. It wasn't any one thing. It was everything suddenly falling into place. It's not in your face yet it was completely obvious once you realized; and it wasn't any of the people you'd suspect, and there certainly were enough suspicious oddballs around.

David Lynch does mystery. Pretty creepy in parts. My main question is, who got Tuly pregnant? Was it the result of the scene near the end in the basement?
