We are down to the final episode of Six Feet Under....again!
This is our second spin through the series. A few years ago, when we discovered it (and had a Netflix dvd marathon, devouring it as quickly as the mail would allow), we thought it the best thing we ever saw as a TV production.
Second time through, we pretty much feel the same way. Since we were familiar with the format and remembered the main plot lines, we could focus on the incredible acting, dialog, the way they courageously tackled so many elements of life and death, sex, relationships...Frances Conroy is simply a wonder, and Claire's character really stood out for us the second time through (first time through we focused more on Nate and Brenda, David and Keith).
And never have a few misplaced tabs of Ecstacy made such surprising impacts (to such humorous effect)....
We are already saddened at coming to the end of a truly memorable series, yet again.
If somehow you haven't seen it, you must - it is essential to anyone who loves the perfect combination of creativity, fine acting, edginess, and even ideal music choices.

Wise words you have there - fragility of life, and relevance of squeezing every second out of it.

(60,015 posts)Now we will let a few years go by and do it again! throughout the entire run of the show, we felt there were very few plot missteps (though Brenda and her family did get on ones' nerves - but I imagine that it was intended to be so).
